February 19-28th Scandia is participating with other cities in greater Twin Cities in The Ice Sculpture Exploration. This is a self-guided adventure designed to get people out discovering new neighborhoods in a safe and fun way despite the cold and the pandemic.
Tickets are $19 per household, ticket purchasers will receive a physical treasure map to guide them on their journey, be eligible to win prizes, play along with fun contests. For tickets & more information go to: Ice Sculpture Exploration
BUT – you can see if you can find this frozen Dala Horse on your own – Once you do – be sure to be there on Saturday, Feb 20th at 11am – for the award ceremony for the Dala Horse Story Contest! Stories are posted in a story trail at Lilleskogen Park.
There’s more! The Scandia-Marine Lions will have their food truck at the Community Center by the skating rinks on both weekends (Feb 20-21 and 27-28) from 11-4pm, serving corn dogs, cheese curds and French fries. They will also have hot chocolate and coffee to warm you up after a turn around the hockey rink or the pleasure rink, or maybe a sled down the hill.
