The terms of office for four District Managers with the Carnelian-Marine-St. Croix Watershed District are expiring on June 21, 2021. Minnesota Statute 103D.311 provides that the Washington County Board will select watershed district managers from a list of nominees submitted by the municipalities that are wholly or partially within the watershed district.
Interested candidates are encouraged to complete the Watershed Application below and contact City Clerk Brenda Eklund (651 433-2274 or email@example.com) by April 15, 2021 to express interest in being nominated for the position. The Scandia City Council will consider nominees at their meeting on April 20, 2021. The candidate must reside within the CMSCWD boundaries. Watershed terms are for 3 years.
Alternatively, interested residents may apply directly to Washington County through its open appointment process without being nominated by the Scandia City Council.
The Carnelian Marine St. Croix Watershed District (CMSCWD) is governed by a seven-member Board of Managers. More information on the Carnelian-Marine-St. Croix Watershed District can be found on their website.
