Events in this 30-day project: Children’s Stories on Acts of Kindness for Scandia Elementary School students to be displayed at Lilleskogen’s Children’s Story Path, Cookie Giveaway to Commuters and Seniors at The Cottages on April 2nd, Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Button Giveaway at area businesses all month with donation jar to benefit Scandia Marine Food Shelf and Green Grocery Shares Program, Award Ceremony for Children’s Story Contest on April 17th, and Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Project builds to an extraordinary 1,000 Acts of Kindness Donation Day event at the Scandia Community Center parking lot on May 1st. Scandia is hoping to do its small part in helping to heal the divide in our country. We feel strongly that our residents have more in common than we have differences. We hope that Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Project will show how much we care about each other, and inspire other people and communities to do acts of kindness to make the world a better place to live.
