City of Scandia, MN

Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Project - Our goal is to remind people to be kind to each other regardless of differences and that we are ONE community.

Help by recording each one of your Acts of Kindness, big or small, at https://www.cityofscandia.com/ActsOfKindness from now until May 2nd.    Watch the City of Scandia Facebook page to see the number of recorded Acts of Kindness rise – make this a daily part of your life this month – #1-be kind, #2-log it in and #3-repeat!

Events in this 30-day project: Children’s Stories on Acts of Kindness for Scandia Elementary School students to be displayed at Lilleskogen’s Children’s Story Path, Cookie Giveaway to Commuters and Seniors at The Cottages on April 2nd, Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Button Giveaway at area businesses all month with donation jar to benefit Scandia Marine Food Shelf and Green Grocery Shares Program, Award Ceremony for Children’s Story Contest on April 17th, and Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Project builds to an extraordinary 1,000 Acts of Kindness Donation Day event at the Scandia Community Center parking lot on May 1st.  More information can be found on the City of Scandia’s website.
Scandia is hoping to do its small part in helping to heal the divide in our country.  We feel strongly that our residents have more in common than we have differences. We hope that Scandia’s 1,000 Acts of Kindness Project will show how much we care about each other, and inspire other people and communities to do acts of kindness to make the world a better place to live.

“When you are kind to others, it not only changes you, it changes the world.” - Harold Kushner
