Scandia Mayor Christine Maefsky presented a Good Neighbor Award Proclamation to local resident Ellen St. Sauver at the August 17, 2021 City Council meeting.
Ellen was nominated by Carol Nelson, who wrote about her outstanding contributions to the Scandia-Marine community, including her donations of delicious baked goods to the Meals on Wheels program, and the volunteering of her land for installation of a stormwater filtration system for improved water quality to Goose Lake. Ellen was a beloved kindergarten teacher at Scandia Elementary School for over 30 years, is a long-time member of the Scandia-Marine Lions Club, and offers her caring and generous kindness to anyone in need.
