Scandia’s most recent Good Neighbor, Dale Hanka, was presented a Good Neighbor Award Proclamation at the October 17, 2023 Scandia City Council meeting.
Dale was nominated by the Scandia Parks and Recreation Committee for building the Little Free Library that is located at Lilleskogen Park for the community to enjoy. The library is styled to look like the historical Scandia water tower. Dale has helped many family members and friends with building projects over the years from houses, cabins and saunas to remodels and doll house furniture. Dale is the father of area resident Loralee DiLorenzo.
