Chili Cook-Off and Fireworks Viewing – February 4th
Elim’s annual Chili Cook-Off will return on Saturday, February 4th from 5:00 – 7:00pm. As part of Scandia’s Vinterfest celebration, for $1/cup you can sample various chilies and vote on your favorite. Cornbread, coffee, and fixings will also be provided. Proceeds will go to the Scandia-Marine Food Shelf helping provide food and provisions to those who cannot afford it. Food and clothing donations will also be accepted!
We want your best chili!! To participate please email Brian (brian.voss@elimscandia.org) or call the office (433-2723) by Wednesday, February 1st and provide your name, contact info and the name of your chili - just like Brian, the wackier the name, the better! Bring your crockpot of delicious chili to the Fellowship Hall during setup time 4 - 4:30pm.
The winner of the Golden Ladle will be announced just before the fireworks begin at 7pm. Folks are welcome to stay in the warmth of the Fellowship Hall and watch from our south facing windows.
